1. Education. Part of NAMRI's mission is to promote education for mold inspectors
prior to performing mold inspections. NAMRI requires a minimum of 30 hours of mold education or mold work experience
before an individual may apply for membership. This education came come from a variety of sources including mold
classes, home study, and field training. NAMRI will accept qualifying education on a case-by-case basis.
2. NAMRI Exam.
To ensure that all members understand the NAMRI Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, along with the procedures
for performing a proper mold inspection, NAMRI requires all new members to pass the NAMRI exam, which is a national
exam sponsored by NAMRI. There is no additional charge to take or re-take this exam.
3. Agreement.
All members must agree to abide by the NAMRI Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, which establish a minimum
and uniform standard for performing an inspection of a single-family to a four-family dwelling.
4. Continuing Education.
Part of NAMRI's mission is to provide professional development for its members. NAMRI will assist members in accessing an independent trainer for the required continuing education credits required for membership renewal.
Membership Fee:
$149 annual fee ($99 for renewals) payable by check or credit card. NAMRI
membership fees are considerably less than other mold organizations, many of which operate for profit and exist to sell private trainer certifications.
